Manual System Optimization
For manual system optimization, please follow the steps below, you can optimize system by yourself.
1, explorer, human-computer interface. Something unnecessary, for example, the shade of title color on the active windows, you can disable it in theme customization. Just right click “My Computer” – “Properties” – “Advance”, change the options of performance and bug report, disable all bug report. Then right click “Internet” – “Properties”, manage startup processes, etc. Use Windows Classic theme, no wallpaper will save quite a lot system resources. Less desktop icons would be better. Use classic start menu, the operation is right click “Start” menu, and choose the classic one.
2, Group tactics. Run gpedit.msc at the “Start” menu for adjusting task bar and “Start” menu. Here I’d like to notify you that do not do this if you are a computer learner. You may disable auto update, error bugs, etc. The most important thing is to close: manage template – taskbar and customize start menu, user track.
3, winlogon. Run msconfig, choose the tab of winlogon, disable all unnecessarly software in the list. Do keep anti-virus software or any secure software. Disable other all to speed up computer boot.
4, Folder options. Open a folder, choose “Tool” – “Folder Settings” in toolbar, disable all unnecessary options.
5, Sevieces. Very important, run services.msc. You should adjust services according to your needs. There are always description about each single service. The following services should not be removed:
DCOM Server Process Launcher Event Log Logical Disk Manager Plug and Play
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Telephony Windows Audio
6, Registry. There are many optimized already registry online, you can download and import it into your system. Do remember to import the right registry. For example, if you are using Windows 8 X64 Ultimate, then you should download optimized registry for Windows 8 X64 Ultimate.
